Basketball Recap: Mulvane Wildcats vs. Buhler Crusaders
The Mulvane Wildcats lost to the Buhler Crusaders back in February of 2023, but the Mulvane Wildcats didn't allow the Buhler Crusaders the same satisfaction on Thursday. Mulvane managed a 46-41 victory over the Crusaders. Given Mulvane's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Crusaders are ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aiden Mckee was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Mulvane's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Manny Myers, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Mulvane has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Buhler, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulvane will take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buhler, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. El Dorado has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
