Baseball Recap: West Jordan Wins Going Away Against Pocatello

West Jordan got themselves on the board against Pocatello on Friday, but Pocatello never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over the Pocatello Thunder. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

West Jordan got a great performance from Austin Gehman as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, Ethan Baldwin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Jaxon Rowley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

West Jordan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pocatello only posted a batting average of .095.

West Jordan's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as West Jordan Jaguars take on Orem Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Pocatello, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Desert Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Desert Hills will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Pocatello surely won't give up without a fight.
