Baseball Recap: Greenbrier Takes a Loss

Greenbrier extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 10-16. They fell 7-2 to the Christian Community Colts. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Colts earlier this season, when they won 11-5.

As for Christian Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games.

For Christian Community's part, the team relied heavily on Treble Chunn, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Scooter Hester, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Greenbrier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Community, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Pleasant View Christian at 6:00 p.m.
