Basketball Recap: Walton Braves vs. Bay Tornadoes
Walton was the 58-42 winner over Bay when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Walton Braves fell 43-35 to the Bay Tornadoes on Tuesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Memmen, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Memmen a new career-high in steals (two). Another player making a difference was Tre'Vince Walker, who posted 13 points.
Walton now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Bay, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walton will welcome South Walton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Walton will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Walton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bay, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rutherford at 7:00 p.m. Bay is facing Rutherford at the right time seeing as Rutherford is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
