Basketball Recap: Lamar County Trojans vs. Upson-Lee Knights
Lamar County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Upson-Lee Knights 65-36. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-50 two weeks ago.
Marcellus Myles was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points for Upson-Lee. Another player making a difference was Qua Smith, who posted eight points along with eight boards and three steals.
Lamar County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Upson-Lee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.
Lamar County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-58 loss against Southwest Atlanta Christian on the 4th. Upson-Lee has also already played their next game, a 57-51 defeat against Fayette County on the 3rd.
