Softball Recap: Washington Township's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Washington Township barely beat Atlantic County Institute of Tech the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Minutemen were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Atlantic County Institute of Tech on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Minutemen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Katie Fuller and Vivian Laliberte did most of the damage at the plate: Fuller went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Laliberte went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave Laliberte a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rosie Passante, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Washington Township's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Atlantic County Institute of Tech, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-15.

Washington Township has already played their next match (against Timber Creek Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Atlantic County Institute of Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
