Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph's Catholic Knights vs. Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers

The St. Joseph's Catholic Knights will square off against the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Joseph's Catholic has three straight wins, Charlotte Country Day School has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, St. Joseph's Catholic made easy work of Seneca and carried off a 60-40 victory. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

St. Joseph's Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evie Adams led the charge by shooting 45% from the field on her way to 24 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Adams' big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Tiffany Helmer was another key player, going 6-for-14 en route to 21 points and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: St. Joseph's Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seneca only posted four.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Country Day School lost to Pisgah on the road by a 61-44 margin on Saturday.

Charlotte Country Day School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
