Soccer Recap: Edison vs. Mansfield Christian
After flying high against Sandusky last Tuesday, Edison came back down to earth. The Edison Chargers came up short against the Mansfield Christian Flames on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Flames apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Edison's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7-1. As for Mansfield Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-1-2 record this season.
Edison will stay at home for another game and welcome Port Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mansfield Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Villa Angela-St. Joseph on the 12th.
