Basketball Recap: Green Bay Southwest Comes Up Short

Green Bay Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Green Bay Preble Hornets, falling 78-41. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Trojans of the 77-48 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Green Bay Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Green Bay Preble, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Bay Southwest and Luxemburg-Casco will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Green Bay Preble, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Washington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
