Softball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland fell victim to Manzano and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 13-0 to the Manzano Monarchs. The Hornets' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Manzano, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Highland will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Mesa at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Manzano, they will welcome Rio Grande at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Manzano will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
