Volleyball Preview: North Pocono Trojans vs. Berwick Bulldogs

North Pocono has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will head out to square off against the Berwick Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Last Friday, everything went North Pocono's way against Valley View as North Pocono made off with a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: North Pocono took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Berwick had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Comets.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-20.

Berwick got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Julia Rauch out in front who had eight digs, four kills, and 17 assists. Rauch is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angie Colone, who had 15 digs and five kills.

Berwick was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive games.

North Pocono's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Berwick, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4.
