Prairie du Chien has won three straight games at home, while Dodgeville has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Blackhawks will host the Dodgers at 5:00 p.m. Dodgeville took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Prairie du Chien, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Prairie du Chien made easy work of Iowa-Grant and carried off an 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Blackhawks, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Claire Kennedy made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last eight games.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Dodgeville's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brodhead.
Ava Lord spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Dodgeville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayla Brom, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Another was Brienna Wasley, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Prairie du Chien's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Dodgeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Prairie du Chien couldn't quite finish off Dodgeville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 11-9. Can the Blackhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
