Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Independence + How To Watch

The Monroe Redhawks will take on the Independence Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Monroe sitting on three straight victories and Independence on nine.

Monroe hadn't beaten Forest Hills on the road since September 22, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Redhawks were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Yellow Jackets. Monroe might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by four goals or more this season.

They hit Forest Hills with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jesus Quizapa-Sanchez (2), Yoseht Lopez (2), and Alberto Maldonado.

Meanwhile, Independence had just enough and edged out Ballantyne Ridge 3-2 on Thursday. Independence found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: four Independence players were handed yellow cards.

Monroe's record is now 9-5-4. As for Independence, their record now sits at 9-3.
