Volleyball Recap: Sweeny Bulldogs vs. Wimberley Texans

Sweeny and Wimberley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Sweeny had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Texans. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Belle Seibert paced Sweeny's offense, picking up nine kills. Seibert got some help from Stevie Brown and her eight assists.
Wimberley can attribute much of their success to Ashton Shipman, who had 14 digs and one assist.
Sweeny's loss dropped their record down to 32-10. As for Wimberley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 31 of their last 32 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 44-5 record this season.
Sweeny does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wimberley, they will take on Canyon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
