Softball Recap: Gueydan Drops Highest Score of Season Against Franklin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gueydan). Everything went their way against the Franklin Hornets on Tuesday as they made off with an 18-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Gueydan moved to 2-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Franklin, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Gueydan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Abbeville on the 2nd. As for Franklin, they will head out to face off against Westgate at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
