 Kent Denver can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners  and snuck past  8-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kent Denver also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2023.
  Caleb Lukkes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered seven  runs (all of which were unearned)  on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Mitch Milias was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Alex Padalino, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
 On Prospect Ridge Academy's side,  Avery Stark and  Greyson Brady did some serious damage despite the final result:  Stark  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4, while  Brady  went 1-for-3 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brady McKenney, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Kent Denver's win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-9. As for Prospect Ridge Academy,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-8.
 Kent Denver will play host again  on Thursday to welcome Peak to Peak, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:15  p.m. Peak to Peak is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3  runs per game  this season. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, they will be playing at home against Jefferson Academy at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
