Basketball Recap: Philipsburg-Osceola Comes Up Short

Philipsburg-Osceola lost against Huntingdon back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers were beaten by the Huntingdon Bearcats 82-54.

Philipsburg-Osceola has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which is still a better percentage than their 4-13 record this season. As for Huntingdon, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philipsburg-Osceola will host Forest Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Forest Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Philipsburg-Osceola likes a good challenge. As for Huntingdon, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Huntingdon Bearcats challenge the Penn Cambria Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Penn Cambria is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season.
