Softball Recap: Windsor Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Windsor barely beat Maria Carrillo the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Jaguars blew past the Pumas 12-3 on Thursday. Considering the Jaguars have won six matches by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kalyse Lang spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Pearl McKay, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Haley Homan was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Windsor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maria Carrillo only posted an OBP of .259.

Windsor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Maria Carrillo, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Coming up, Windsor will welcome Analy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maria Carrillo, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 22-9 win against Healdsburg on the 21st.
