Volleyball Recap: Union Comes Up Short

Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Mount St. Mary Rockets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Friday.

Mount St. Mary's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cheyenne Denwalt, who had 18 digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Denwalt a new career-high. Camila Garcia was another key player, getting four aces and three digs.

Union now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Mount St. Mary, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season.

Union will face off against Owasso at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount St. Mary, they will square off against Christian Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
