Basketball Recap: J.F. Webb Takes a Loss

J.F. Webb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Granville Vikings. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 58-56.

Alayah Flowers was her usual excellent self, putting up 19 points for South Granville.

J.F. Webb's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for South Granville, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.

J.F. Webb will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Carrboro at 6:00 p.m. Carrboro will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something J.F. Webb surely won't give up without a fight. South Granville has already played their next match, a 57-40 loss against Louisburg on the 1st.
