Baseball Recap: Hinckley-Big Rock Takes a Loss

Hinckley-Big Rock and Dwight pushed the score to 20-1 the last time they played Dwight, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Royals fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Royals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hinckley-Big Rock's loss dropped their record down to 11-11-1. As for Dwight, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hinckley-Big Rock will welcome Earlville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Raiders will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Royals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dwight, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Flanagan/Woodland at 4:30 p.m.
