Burroughs came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Highland Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Saturday.

Burroughs walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 19-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Kyla Chilbes paced Burroughs' offense, picking up ten kills. Chilbes got some help from Mariah Redondo and her 26 assists. Chilbes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Burroughs' win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Highland, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.

Burroughs and Highland should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Burros will take on Quartz Hill at 3:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (79 vs. 305). Meanwhile, Highland (ranked 288th) will meet Palmdale (ranked 862nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
