Basketball Recap: Fort Dodge Takes a Loss

Fort Dodge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The contest between them and the Waterloo East Trojans didn't end well, with the Fort Dodge Dodgers falling 72-57. While losing is never fun, the Dodgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Trojans are ranked 124th).

Fort Dodge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Waterloo East, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Fort Dodge has already played their next match (against Mason City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Waterloo East will be playing at home against Ames at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Waterloo East is on a five-game streak of home wins, Ames a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
