Recap: River Valley Dust Devils vs. Pahrump Valley Trojans
The River Valley Dust Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 59-11 defeat at the hands of Pahrump Valley. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for River Valley in their matchups with Pahrump Valley: they've now lost four in a row.
Paris Coleman was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with three steals for Pahrump Valley. Coleman hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Heaven Cooper, who scored ten points.
River Valley's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.3 points per game. As for Pahrump Valley, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
River Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parker at 1:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Pahrump Valley and Moapa Valley will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Moapa Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
