St. John Paul II never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the Sturgis West Navigators with a sharp 30-0 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by nine runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Brian Mancinelli, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with ten RBI, four runs, and one double. Brandon Gomes was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. John Paul II kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

St. John Paul II's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games.
