The Hereford Whitefaces will challenge the Perryton Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Perryton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hereford, who comes in off a win.
Hereford took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Borger as Hereford made off with an 11-1 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Whitefaces as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Gavin Hill made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ethan Subealdea was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Chris Flores was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Hereford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Borger only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Perryton didn't have quite enough to beat Pampa on Tuesday and fell 6-5.
Isaac Chavira spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered six earned runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Mason Carranza and Jaxten Castanon stepped up to the plate in a big way. Carranza got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, while Castanon scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Perryton is 2-1 when Castanon posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Caden Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Perryton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. Hereford's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-7-1.
