Baseball Recap: Bradford Comes Up Short

Bradford came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the St. Marys Flying Dutch, falling 13-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Anthony Lama made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Bradford has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11-1 record this season. As for St. Marys, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Bradford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Marys, they will welcome Elk County Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
