Baseball Recap: Stratton Eagles vs. McClave Cardinals
Stratton had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 3-8 to make it four. They fell just short of the McClave Cardinals by a score of 7-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 on Saturday.
Von Isenbart and Gage Levin stepped up to the plate in a big way. Isenbart earned one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases, while Levin went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
As for McClave, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5. Seven seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
On McClave's side, they got a big performance out of Drew Howe, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Taylor LeForce was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Stratton has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Granada on the 22nd. As for McClave, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Eads on the 25th.
