Softball Recap: Northeastern Comes Up Short

Northeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Grandview Heights Bobcats, falling 13-2.

Sophia Shingler made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Grandview Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Grandview Heights beat Northeastern by a score of 13-12 later that day.
