Basketball Recap: Linn Wildcats vs. Russellville Indians
It was a good run, but the Linn Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Russellville. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), Linn still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Linn still got an impressive performance from Kiana Hostetler, who scored 17 points along with six assists and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Vivien Baker, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Linn's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Russellville, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
Linn will head out on the road to take on the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Russellville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
