Valor Academy is a perfect 6-0 against Valley Oaks CES since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Valor Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Valley Oaks CES at 2:00 p.m. Valor Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Valor Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lakeview Charter just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 6-1 to the Lions. Having soared to a lofty 26 runs in the game before, Valor Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.

Valor Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andy Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Valley Oaks CES was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeview Charter.

Sergio Rojas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Miguel Hernandez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Valley Oaks CES' loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Valor Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Valor Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 13.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Valley Oaks CES struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 12.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Valor Academy skirted past Valley Oaks CES 9-8 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valor Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
