Softball Recap: Coahoma Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lexington

Coahoma extended their postseason success on Thursday against Lexington. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Hannah Wells made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mia Clemmer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Blakeley Rodgers was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Coahoma's record is now 35-1. As for Lexington, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 27-9.

As of now, neither Coahoma nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
