Preview: Edison Eagles vs. South Brunswick Vikings
Edison has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The South Brunswick Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Edison suffered a tough 35-14 defeat at the hands of St. Joseph. Edison was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Although Edison took the loss, they still got scores from Landen Cruz and Ricky Harvey.
Meanwhile, South Brunswick fell victim to Ridge's stalwart defense two Fridays ago and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Red Devil 35-0. South Brunswick's defeat signaled the end of their 4-game winning streak.
Edison now has a losing record at 3-4. As for South Brunswick, their defeat two Fridays ago dropped their record down to 4-3.
Everything went Edison's way against South Brunswick in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as Edison made off with a 42-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edison since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
