Soccer Game Preview: Lathrop vs. Grace Christian

The Lathrop Malemutes will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Grace Christian Grizzlies at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.

While Lathrop's victory against North Pole wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Malemutes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Patriots on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Lathrop in their matchups with North Pole: they've now won four in a row.

Lathrop hit North Pole with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elijah Hoop, Keenan Long, and Jeremiah Barber.

Meanwhile, Grace Christian faced Houston in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Neither the Grizzlies nor the Hawks could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Grace Christian's draw makes their record 1-4-2 this season. As for Lathrop, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
