Football Game Preview: Windsor Central Black Knights vs. Oneonta Yellowjackets

The Windsor Central Black Knights will take on the Oneonta Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Windsor Central will be strutting in after a victory while Oneonta will be coming in after a loss.

Windsor Central took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed past Susquehanna Valley to the tune of 35-8. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Black Knights considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Windsor Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tyson Schmitt and Bryson Werner. Schmitt also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Windsor Central is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Schmitt got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, Oneonta finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 29-6 to Norwich. The matchup marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

With the defeat, Oneonta broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. As for Windsor Central, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
