Football Game Preview: Prescott Cardinals vs. St. Croix Central Panthers

Prescott hasn't had much luck against St. Croix Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cardinals will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Prescott will be strutting in after a victory while St. Croix Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Prescott is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Somerset 42-14. The Cardinals not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 5, 2024 (when they won 48-10).

Meanwhile, St. Croix Central fell victim to Osceola and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Chieftains. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Chieftains are ranked 58th).

Prescott's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for St. Croix Central, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.

Prescott strolled past St. Croix Central in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a score of 39-20. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
