Cushman won the last time they faced Horeb Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cougars came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cushman was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-10.

Cushman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jessica Lacoban out in front who had five aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelly Lopez, who had three aces and three assists.

They weren't the only good server: Cushman was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Cushman's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Horeb Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Cushman will be playing at home against Keys Gate at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horeb Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Academy for Innovative Education at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
