Volleyball Recap: Fort Zumwalt South Comes Up Short

Fort Zumwalt South lost against North Point back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Grizzlies. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fort Zumwalt South took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-23.

Leading North Point to victory were Miley Poeling and Emma Shryock. Poeling had 12 digs and two aces, while Shryock had four digs and two aces. That's the most digs Poeling has posted since back in October of 2024. Libbie Meek also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Fort Zumwalt South's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Point, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Fort Zumwalt South is taking a road trip to take on Fort Zumwalt North at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Point, they will face off against Troy-Buchanan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
