After a string of six wins, Longview's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockwall Yellowjackets. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lobos came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 255th).

Longview's loss came despite strong showings from Terri Sparkman and Paris Simpson. Sparkman posted eight points and three steals, while Simpson put up nine points and six rebounds.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 12-2. As for Rockwall, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9.

Coincidentally, Longview and Rockwall will both be playing Forney the next time they take the court. Longview will head out to face Forney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Rockwall will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
