After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Brownsburg, Avon was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Cascade Cadets with a sharp  72-47 victory. The Orioles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six  games by 23  points or more this season.
 Aniah Smith was  her usual excellent self,  shooting 4-for-7 from deep and  dropping  a double-double on 26  points and ten  assists. That's the most  assists  she has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of  Makaylee Butts, who  went 8 of 12  on her way to 20 points.
 Avon  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 14  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in six consecutive  matchups.
 Despite the loss, Cascade still got an impressive performance from   Chloe Smith, who  went 6 of 13  on her way to 19  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaylee Austin, who  posted 11 points.
Avon's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Cascade, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last ten contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record  this season.
 When Avon and Cascade next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Avon will try to stop Ben Davis' five-game winning streak when the meet  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Avon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9  points per game  this season. Meanwhile, Cascade will try to stop Northview's seven-game winning streak when the meet  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
