Baseball Recap: Lugoff-Elgin Takes a Loss

Lugoff-Elgin managed to slip by Lexington the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Demons came up short against the Wildcats on Monday, falling 9-1. The Demons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Lugoff-Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Lexington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lugoff-Elgin will take on Miller School of Albemarle in a tournament on Tuesday. The Mavericks will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Demons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lexington, they will be taking part in a tournament against Cardinal Newman at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
