Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Spalding

Spalding entered their tilt with Whitewater on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They snuck past the Whitewater Wildcats with a 58-53 win. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 73-61 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Spalding's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keelan Day, who posted 21 points along with five boards and four steals. Those 21 points gave Day a new career-high. Jamarcus Jordan was another key player, putting up six points along with eight boards and three steals.

Roberts is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played. Spalding has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Whitewater, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
