Baseball Game Recap: New Albany Bulldogs vs. Tishomingo County Braves

New Albany fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Tishomingo County on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-1 to the Braves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Braves this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for New Albany and nudges their season record down to 21-11. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Tishomingo County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-12 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: New Albany beat Tishomingo County by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.
