Preview: Cypress Park Tigers vs. Cypress Falls Eagles

The Cypress Park Tigers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Cypress Falls Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Cypress Park is out to stop a 18-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.

Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Cypress Park, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-17 loss to Langham Creek.

Cypress Park's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Deyon Batiste, who punched in a rushing score, and Kevin Cadorette who picked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Cypress Falls beat Cypress Springs 32-28 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cypress Falls.

Trey Morris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Morris hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games.

Cypress Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cypress Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Cypress Park took a serious blow against Cypress Falls in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 55-20. Thankfully for Cypress Park, Jakob Leavatts (who rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
