Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Takes a Loss

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon lost against Sierra Vista back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirate lost 3-0 to the Mountain Lions. The Pirate have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-9.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon's offense was headlined by David Thomas and Anthony Flores, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Adrian Eugenio and his seven assists. Finally, Thomas was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Sierra Vista, they pushed their record up to 15-12 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Canyon Springs on the 14th. As for Sierra Vista, they are taking a road trip to face off against Green Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
