Central York hasn't had much luck against Dallastown recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 4:15 p.m. Central York is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Central York took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They skirted past Red Land 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since April 17, 2024.

Central York let Kirby Eidson and Jacob Laughman run wild. Eidson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Laughman went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Pakstis, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Dallastown duked it out with Red Lion on Monday. The Wildcats walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Dallastown also got a great performance from Matt Stone as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Stone has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carson Meyer, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Central York's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Dallastown, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Central York was able to grind out a solid win over Dallastown when the teams last played back in March, winning 6-3. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
