Basketball Recap: Kristian Jones Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

There's no place like home for Tonasket, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took down the Manson Trojans 62-44 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Tonasket's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kristian Jones, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was Jones' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tanner Tompkins, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards.

Tonasket's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-5. As for Manson, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Tonasket will challenge Omak at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Tonasket's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Manson, they will host Chelan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
