Soccer Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

If Georgetown was feeling good fresh off their 5-2 takedown of Marlboro County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell 4-2 to the Aynor Blue Jackets on Friday. Georgetown were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Aynor earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Aynor, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Georgetown will square off against Carolina Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aynor, they will venture away from home to face off against Green Sea Floyds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
