Fans got a thrill when Noah Smotherman and Austin Vaden connected against Smith County. The connection went for 63 yards, the longest such play in A District 8 this season.

Red Boiling Springs was the team made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, the Bulldogs triumphed over Sale Creek 47-6.

Gordonsville's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Smotherman threw for 136 yards and Vaden had 111 yards receiving. On the ground Kaelin Cason contributed 108 yards.
