Baseball Recap: New Castle Trojans vs. Tri Titans
New Castle scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Tri Titans as the New Castle Trojans made off with a 17-1 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Carson Bane was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Landon Semler was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
On Tri's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Burke, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
The victory made it two in a row for New Castle and bumps their season record up to 5-20. As for Tri, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-17.
New Castle will take on Centerville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tri, they will be playing at home against Monroe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
